Altieri’s five Principals have on average 25 years of experience in creative engineering design for complex building programs. Our Principals lead design studios comprising Project Managers and MEPF engineers, all with broad experience across an array of project types. Leadership is further strengthened by the considerable experience and knowledge of our Associate Principals and Associates.

“Altieri has always stood out for their strong participation at a Principal level in projects. We value their ability to collaborate, their inclination to embrace innovation, and the enormous raw intelligence they bring to every aspect of the project. There is a nimbleness to their design thinking and an ability to foresee long-range implications and consequences of design directions that has been invaluable to us.”

Chris Couse, Founding Principal, KPMB Architects

With every project we employ a systematic and iterative approach to planning MEPF systems design in order to successfully translate overall building program goals into the optimal MEPF program. Our process rests on engaging user group(s) – listening to/understanding the specific goals and requirements of each, developing design concepts based on what we have heard, developing program documents to illustrate alignment with constituent goals, presenting back to user group(s) for feedback, and repeating until constituents are aligned on a balanced approach to MEPF systems throughout the building.

Each project is overseen by a Project Manager, our main point of client contact and coordination with the design team. Our engineers develop designs targeted to optimize energy efficiency, create expansive abilities for redundancy, and simplify the organization of systems to minimize maintenance and operation costs, and maximize reliability.  Our Principals provide overall guidance, ensuring that the systems we design prioritize the quality, character, and integrity of the architecture and maintain the architect’s vision as our paramount intention.
